Well I have not done most of that route. Looks like quite a long day though.
I will have camping stuff with for the rest of my trip.
What I have done a couple times now is just go the 250 or so miles to the Collier State Park and then it is only 150 or so through Crater Lake and into GP in the morning. It could be done in a single day, about 400 miles but higher speeds than most of the forest roads. I think it would be 7-8 hours (from Hood River) this way. About the same 8 hours or so from Bill's up 26 and over to Madras-Redmond-Chemult-then south to (I think) 62 up from the south into the edge of CL park. That road over to Diamond Lake is straight and through the dog hair lodgepole pine. The rest of that route looks nice, but a bit long for a day (for me-nothing to you).
I only break up my trip so I don't have to take off Thursday and still arrive early Friday am. If I leave here Friday am I will get into Galice in the late afternoon.
That's cool Albert. I understand about the long day riding. I'm kinda used to it, and I was going to take Thursday off kinda and relax at Bill's since I will have about 2200 or more miles in the 5 days prior to that Thursday.
